Phishing is a common form of internet fraud. A phishing e-mail is one that is created by an unauthorized person to look like it is a legitimate e-mail. The intent is to try to get you to provide personal, confidential information so it can be used for identity theft and financial fraud. At Guaranty Bank, we take safeguarding your privacy seriously. We will never request personal or confidential information from you by e-mail.

Recently, you may have received an e-mail which appears to be from Guaranty Bank. This fraudulent e-mail asks for you to confirm your email address by logging into your online banking page. Guaranty Bank did not initiate the e-mail message. If you responded to the email and provided your log-in information, call us IMMEDIATELY at 1-800-288-8822. If you do not bank with Guaranty Bank, but responded to the e-mail, by logging in your bank's information, notify your financial institution immediately.
