Community Programs and Partnerships
Community Commitment
Guaranty Bank and its partner company, Shelter Mortgage, share a strong commitment to the communities that we serve. We offer a wide range of products and services that support homeownership and asset building opportunities for everyone, including minority, low-to-moderate income and disabled citizens.
Education and Partnerships
We believe that financial education and community partnerships are critical components of a successful community. Individuals desiring to become self-sufficient must understand their finances in order to build a successful future. That is why we partner with nonprofit organizations that offer programs and partnerships that give consumers the tools needed to make sound financial decisions.
Our partnerships include a variety of loan programs, down-payment products and closing cost assistance solutions to help qualified applicants secure their financial dreams. We collaborate with organizations offering pre/post home purchase counseling and financial literacy education because we want to make sure our customers are well-versed in maintaining a financially healthy lifestyle. Our loan officers work closely with representatives from home-counseling providers to identify the best loan program for the applicant.
We have also partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, the City of Racine's Weed & Seed Program and Destiny Development Corporation in offering Individual Development Accounts (IDAs). The IDA program provides grants to qualified low-income individuals who are interested in developing a savings plan. The savings plan gives matching funds to savers for home purchases, starting a business or post-secondary education. The Boys & Girls Club IDA program is part of the United Way of Greater Milwaukee’s Asset Building initiative.
Guaranty Bank is a strong supporter of the FDIC Bank On/Alliance for Economic Inclusion program, a nationwide program offering individuals the opportunity to learn how to properly manage a checking account. Our employees volunteer in their classes by presenting deposit account information and responding to participant questions, which assist in banking the un-banked/under-banked conusumer.
