Latino Learning Center - TX

Guaranty Bank assisted the Latino Learning Center, Inc. with
receiving $169,635 of grant funds from the Federal Home Loan Bank's Affordable
Housing Program (AHP). The Center also received a loan from Guaranty Bank and a
Capital Advance Grant under HUD 202's "Supportive Housing for the Elderly"
program. This project, known as Eastwood Senior Housing, included construction
of 65 units of special-needs housing targeting very low-income senior citizens
with first priority granted to homeless senior citizens.

In addition to Eastwood Senior Housing’s 70,021 sq. ft.
of residential property in east Houston, the complex features a community/adult
senior day care center, laundry room, on site apartment management, and a
commercial kitchen. Other benefits include nutrition education, daily-organized
senior activities such as field trips, educational and health care programs,
transportation and assistance to doctors’ offices and shopping for necessities.
All services are provided for free or at a minimal cost.
