The Guaranty Summer Experience

The Guaranty Summer Intern program exposes interns to all aspects of the financial services industry while giving them an exclusive look into what a career is like at Guaranty Bank. By providing hands-on experience in specific areas of interest and rotations through additional departments within the bank, interns are guaranteed a rewarding summer experience. More importantly, the Guaranty program exposes interns to our company’s greatest asset - our people!

A Major Financial Institution

Headquartered in Austin, Texas, Guaranty Bank ("Guaranty") is a $16 billion full-service bank with more than 150 banking centers and seven commercial lending offices in Texas and California. It is one of the 75 largest FDIC-insured financial institutions in the nation serving the personal and business banking needs of more than 500,000 customers.
Guaranty Insurance Services, Inc. (GISI) and its related entities offer a comprehensive range of financial products and services, including personal and commercial lines, annuities, life and health insurance, and risk advisory services. GISI is one of the largest independent insurance agencies in the nation and is the second largest in the state of Texas.

Summer Intern Program

At Guaranty Bank you are more than an intern - you are part of the Guaranty Bank team! Participants in the Guaranty Bank Summer Intern Program will have significant responsibilities and will be expected to contribute to the company’s overall goals. Some of the program highlights include:

  • Interns will work individually or with a team, immersed in a specific line of business, learning from experienced professionals.
  • In addition to working in a specific line of business, interns will rotate through various company departments, both with the bank and our insurance company, gaining hands-on experience in financial services operations.
  • Interns are assigned a mentor, a company officer with several years of experience, who will provide guidance and advice throughout the summer.
  • Interns will have the opportunity to interact with the bank’s Executive Management through lunch and learn sessions.
  • Each intern will make a presentation to their department and Executive Management at the completion of the program.

What It Takes

The Guaranty Bank Summer Intern Program attracts outstanding men and women who have an interest in a career in the financial services industry. The internships will take place in Austin, Dallas or Houston depending on which department the intern is assigned. Criteria for consideration include:

  • College students entering their senior year or attending graduate school
